GIS Project Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and optimisation of product solutions for map and POI data to improve usability, accuracy, and competitiveness.
  • Lead day-to-day coordination of the international mapping project, including planning, progress tracking, quality monitoring, and timely delivery.
  • Manage and guide a small team of POI Data Annotators, providing clear direction, quality feedback, and support to boost team efficiency.
  • Identify workflow, platform, and process gaps, summarise recurring issues into actionable improvements, and provide timely feedback to stakeholders.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance POI data quality, map workflows, and user experience for ride-hailing and delivery scenarios.
  • Consolidate project learnings and best practices into SOPs and standardised documentation to improve scalability and consistency.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in GIS, POI data, map QA, mapping operations, or related fields.
  • Experience in project coordination, mentoring, or supervising a small team is a plus.
  • Familiarity with map data standards, POI quality, navigation-related workflows, and GIS concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar GIS / vector data processing tools is preferred.
  • Multilingual: proficient in Mandarin (for China stakeholders), English, and Malay (for local teams).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify gaps and propose practical improvements.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive — balancing hands-on execution with strategic initiative.
